As a Salesforce OMS Technical Lead, one should oversee the technical development, integration, and enhancement of OMS solutions and also lead a team of developers and collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
- Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce OMS solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and ensure alignment with Salesforce best practices.
Solution Development and Implementation
- Design and implement end-to-end order management workflows using Salesforce OMS.
- Configure and customize Salesforce OMS features, including order lifecycle management, inventory management, and payment integrations.
- Integrate Salesforce OMS with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, and third-party systems (e.g., ERP, payment gateways, shipping providers).
- Develop custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, LWC (Lightning Web Components), and APIs as needed.
- Conduct code reviews and technical assessments for the development team.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, QA, and Project Managers, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Optimization and Maintenance
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce OMS solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with Salesforce platform updates, releases, and new features
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce OMS and a minimum of 2 fill salesforce OMS implementations experience.
- Proficiency in Salesforce development tools: Apex, Visualforce, LWC, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience in integrating Salesforce with 3rd party systems using middleware or APIs.
- Solid understanding of order management processes, inventory management, and payment systems.
Leadership and Communication Skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good understanding of ERP, OMS and other integration systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, BA, PM and other interface systems teams to ensure project success.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for solutions and processes.
- Provide training and support to end-users and internal teams as needed.
